We are a non-profit organization in Houston, TX that offers supplemental education to under served communities and under privileged families. We provide academic professionals to provide tutoring, test prep, and learning disability therapy, to students grade K-12. We also help families that need help finding affordable private school options for students who struggle to learn in the traditional class environment.

Learning Disability Therapy

Our non profit specilizes with helping students with learning barriers. We tackle the major disabilites with our techniques from the National Institute of Learning Development. We also offer a school for students with learning disabilities: Excelsior Academy Houston

Students with Dyslexia have trouble reading. Kivato tutors use tools such as phonics exercises and foam alphabets to overcome Dyslexia.

Students with ADD and ADHD struggle with focusing and impulsiveness. We use techniques such as memory exercises and directionality to work on ADD/ADHD challenges.

Students with dyscalculia face problems with numbers and arithmetic. Kivato builds math reasoning and problem solving through techniques such as math block activities.

Dysgraphia students struggle with writing while Dyspraxia students have trouble with motor movements. We use techniques such as motor skill lessons and tracing on a chalkboard to help with these.

FAQ

How do I qualify?

Kivato offers needs based low-cost tutoring, test prep, educational therapy, and has a referral school for students with learning disabilities- Excelsior Academy Houston. To see if you qualify, please fill out our application and provide your previous years’ tax return, last two paycheck stubs, and driver’s license.

How quickly do I receive a tutor?

First your application must approve. This can take 3-5 business days. Once approved, we will match you with a Kivato tutor within 5 business days.

Where is the tutoring avaliable?

Tutoring through Kivato can take place at a public library, cafe, or at our center in Sugar Land, TX. We are located inside the Artist Alliance at 104 Industrial Blvd, Suite Q, Sugar Land, TX. Unfortunately, Kivato does not offer in-home tutoring.

Do you offer one-on-one tutoring?

We primarily offer small group tutoring, as this reduces the fee we charge. We can arrange one-on-one tutoring, but the fee will be higher.
